چکیده
Abstract Purpose New perspectives on rehabilitation options for inner ear malformations have still been studied in the literature. This study investigated cognitive, language, and motor skills of auditory brainstem implant (ABI) users unimodal bimodal groups. Methods The competency participants was assessed with Bruininks–Oseretsky Motor Proficiency Test‐2 Short Form (BOT2 SF). Language performance evaluated by test Early Development‐3 Speech Intelligibility Rating. Word identification, sentence recognition tests, Categories Auditory Performance were used to assess perception skills. To examine cognitive performance, Cancellation Test Gesell Copy administered. All tests conducted a quiet environment without any distractions. Results divided into two groups: (1) 17 children group (2) 11 (who cochlear one side ABI other side) group. There significant correlations between chronological age BOT2 SF total score, cancellation language performance. Similarly, there duration use test, some subtests ( r = −0.47 −0.60, p < .001). no difference groups task > .05). However, moderate‐to‐strong among score 0.40 0.55, Conclusion Although differences groups, holistic approach, which indicates that hearing balance issues can broader impacts person's physical, emotional, social, psychological aspects, should be assessment process. Level Evidence 4.

Neurofeedback is a promising tool for brain rehabilitation and peak performance training. Neurofeedback approaches usually rely on a single brain imaging modality such as EEG or fMRI. Combining these modalities for neurofeedback training could allow to provide richer information to the subject and could thus enable him/her to achieve faster and more specific self-regulation. Yet unimodal and mu...

متن کاملClassification and Current Management of Inner Ear Malformations
Morphologically congenital sensorineural hearing loss can be investigated under two categories. The majority of congenital hearing loss causes (80%) are membranous malformations. Here, the pathology involves inner ear hair cells. There is no gross bony abnormality and, therefore, in these cases high-resolution computerized tomography and magnetic resonance imaging of the temporal bone reveal no...
